The leading layer provides sturdiness with a thick wear surface that is urethane boosted for optimum scratch and scuff resistance. The middle layer delivers stability that essentially removes expansion and contraction and functions Congoleum's SmartLoc click installation system. The Congoleum Triversa collection has 12 styles in either 7-inch or 9-inch planks.

It's that layered building and construction that drives the performance in general. There is a volatility to conventional LVT with growth and contraction, but the Triversa core stabilizes that. Since it removes that achilles heel, it performs much better than laminate.

Starting from the top, the 20 mil wearlayer with a durable urethane finish offers stain and scuff resistance and is very easy to maintain. The matte finish offers a realistic textured surface enhancing the 12 beautiful designs. Congoleum Triversa is also supported by a Lifetime residential warranty as well as a 10 year commercial warranty.
At the heart of the Congoleum Triversa is a 5mm engineered composite core providing stability from its dense thermoplastic construction. The core also bridges subfloor irregularities and allows for installation with minimal subfloor preparation.
Lastly, the third layer consists of a natural cork backing that acts as an underlayment. Natural cork is an environmentally friendly resource that comes from the bark of cork oak trees. Even better, the composition of the cork contains a substance called "Suberin". Suberin repels bugs, mold, mites and even termites!
