Can any manufacturer's grout be used with Alterna tile?We recommend Armstrong Flooring's pre-mixed and color-coordinated grout options when installing Alterna tile with grout. Our pre-mixed grout is stain resistant, no sealing is neccesary, and it resists breaking. Light foot traffic can resume within 24 hours of installation.
What cleaning products can be used on these floors?We recommend Once 'n Done no-rinse floor cleaner by Armstrong. Detergents and abrasive cleaners are not recommended. Paste wax and solvent based cleaners and polishes can ruin your luxury vinyl flooring.
How can I disinfect my Alterna flooring?A liquid disinfectant that you correctly dilute would be acceptable, and will not damage the floor. Follow the instructions from the manufacturer for dilution and application. In some cases you will require wet mopping and must be allowed to remain on the floor to kill germs. Regularly using disinfectants that are not properly mixed can result in discoloration and a more slippery surface area.
