Installing Reducer For Your Cork Floor
Reducers are used to transition from cork flooring to vinyl, linoleum, concrete or any floor that is lower than your cork floor. Measure and cut your reducer to fit snugly along the edge of the vinyl, or lowest flooring surface. Apply a thin line of adhesive on the bottom edge of your reducer. Fit the tongue of the cork flooring into the groove on the reducer. Position and attach the reducer to the subfloor between the cork floor and the vinyl. The molding should butt up against the vinyl and will be flush with your cork flooring. Apply painters tape along the full length of the seam between the molding and the cork flooring to hold the reducer in place until the adhesive sets completely.
